I developed a mobile 2D game for a client in Portugal, designed to be a rich open-world experience with interactive NPCs, collectible recipes, and multi-level exploration. The game was built using Unity version 6000.0.58f2 and C# scripting. My main focus was creating smooth navigation, engaging gameplay mechanics, and intuitive player progression.
The game contains four unique levels: Grassland Village, Winter Village, Alcoholic Village, and Candy Cloud Land. Players collect recipes from crates, interact with NPCs using dialogue boxes, and navigate levels via a mini-map. Completing levels unlocks boss fights and advanced stages.
Development included cross-platform optimization for Android, iOS, and Windows. Challenges included ensuring consistent UI scaling, handling touch controls, and managing multiple scenes such as inventory, pause menu, and level transitions. Debugging was crucial to maintain smooth gameplay across different devices.
